Sunday Worship

Sunday worship at Headingley Methodist Church usually starts at 9.30 and lasts about an hour. After the service tea, coffee and light refreshments are served in the large hall. The Church is usually open from 9 onwards.

Once a month the service includes the sacrament of Holy Communion. Everyone is invited to take part in this, regardless of age or religious affiliation.

One service per month is normally shared with our friends from Headingley St. Columba URC (HSC) located just along Otley Road towards the city centre. Shared services alternate between our church and HSC – when they take place at HSC services start at the later time of 10.45.

PLEASE NOTE: Weekly services have now resumed, with Holy Communion being part of the service (usually) on the third Sunday in the month. However, since we still practise ‘social distancing’ in church, those wishing to attend services are encouraged to book a place in advance – please use the form on the Contacts page to do this.

Refreshments are once more being served after Sunday services, usually in the Large Hall, and all are welcome to partake.
